Sidewalk Runway: Britta

This was an impromptu shoot and Britta Bisig writes and models for her fashion blog
VancouverVogue.com. The inspiration for her outfit was the Power of Women (POW) breast cancer event. The event occurred on Grey Cup Sunday and was hosted by Pink Ladies event planning. The host requested attendees show their support by wearing pink. The touching point of the event came when Denise Patterson (from the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation) shared her personal story. As a survivor, she said breast cancer is NOT limited to women over 50. She wanted guests to, “Listen to your body” and “Be good to your body”. She continued by saying your body will send you signals if something is not quite right. She also suggested people eat healthy and exercise regularly. The rest of the event featured two runway shows, raffle prize giveaways and a best dressed guest contest. Britta was one of three judges that picked the male and female winners.

Britta’s wearing:

Coat: Bonwit Teller
Dress: Evernew
Purse: Aldo (thrifted)
Heels: Spring (thrifted)
