Ethnicity/ Nationality: Born in Odessa, Ukraine, and grew up in Vancouver.

Occupation and/or Company: Sculptor artist

Years of experience: My immersion into the art world came at an early age, under the mentorship of my father, Valeri Sokolovski, a monumentalist-sculptor.

Upcoming performances/ project: Most recently, I completed creating sculptures for the yet to be released movie ‘Night at the Museum 3’, and have since been preparing for my upcoming solo exhibition, Modern Sculpture Exhibition, which runs from October 14 to 19, 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at 434 Columbia Street, Vancouver.

What is the highlight of your work? At this exhibition, I will present artwork and a style that has not yet been seen in Vancouver, and hope the show will inspire visitors. The artwork explores themes of beauty, inspiration, and the power of the human form, through Tectonics and Linear Expressionism, a style that uses rhythmic lines and the flow of forms to express emotion. Sculptures are in mediums of bronze and wood, and feature dynamic figurative compositions, as well as life-size portrait busts of inspirational individuals.
