Shishinori offers Japanese cuisine

Shishinori is a new Japanese restaurant located near Broadway and Cambie. After a coworker recommended Shishinori, I decided to try the restaurant for lunch with friends.
The space is quite nice and simple. It’s very cozy, and there aren’t a lot of tables available during peak times like lunch. You order up at the counter and then find a seat if you are eating in.
The Smoked Wild Salmon Eggs Benedict ($9) is an unexpected item to find on a Japanese restaurant menu. It comes served on a bagel, as well as with tea and salad. My coworker who ate this dish seemed to really enjoy her meal.
We also ordered the Hawaii Ahi Poke Bowl ($12), and for an additional $2.50, you can add cold tea and coffee jello dessert. The Ahi Tuna Carpaccio Bowl ($12) was very healthy. We added enoki miso soup and cold iced green tea for $2.50 more.
If you have a sweet tooth, try the Matcha Parfait ($6). This dessert came with cereal, green tea jello, mochi, green tea ice cream, pocky, strawberries, chocolate syrup, and sponge. If you order a meal and this parfait, you will be quite full.
Overall, the food here is nice and healthy, besides the matcha parfait. The only downside is that the meals are quite pricey for lunch.
