Candlelight vigil for Tibet’s Panchen Lama

On Friday, April 25, a candlelight vigil will be held for Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, apolitical prisoner in China since 1995. Chinese government authorities abducted Tibet’s Panchen Lama, the second most revered spiritual leader in Tibetan tradition (after the Dalai Lama), when he was just six years old. 
Tibetans and supporters will gather in Vancouver for a vigil to commemorate the 25th birthday of Gedhun Choekyi Nyima.
The world's youngest political prisoner, the Panchen Lama has been missing since he was 6 years old. He was last seen on May 17, 1995,whenChinese Governmentauthorities took him and his family into custody.
