Expo celebrates art in Vancouver

The fourth annual Art World Expo will feature over 100 local and international artists at Telus World of Science on May 2, 2014. This year’s “Circus” themed expo also includes fashion shows, musical performers, a restaurant lounge, and a body painting competition hosted by television personality Fiona Forbes.
Monika Blichar started the Art World Expo in 2009 to help bring the Vancouver artist community together. “I started doing it not only because I personally love the arts, but I also saw a need for someone to step into a role that would enable others to share their creativity with their community and online.”
Blichar also runs Make and Break Arts Foundation in North Vancouver where she leads art classes, and has guests teach workshops and yoga classes.
All proceeds from the art expo benefit Make and Break Arts Foundation to support local arts initiatives.
The growing expo and fundraiser supports emerging and established visual artists in showing and selling their art, and provides the public with a unique and meaningful opportunity to interact and engage with artistic and cultural diversity. Learn more at www.artworldexpo.wordpress.com.
